About

<div>Thrive Juices is the culmination of a necessity to address the neglected wellness of underserved communities and the desire for nutrient rich yet palatable juices, smoothies, and food that focus on the heart, mind, body, and soul to help you THRIVE.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Thrive Juices was created by James Kelso, a health conscious, fitness enthusiast. James's story originated from humble beginnings in New Orleans, Louisiana. New Orleans while being one of the most beautiful cities, has some of the highest racial income disparities in the United States. The city and state also has one of the highest poverty rates for Black Americans. James was raised in the Magnolia projects, one of the many subsidized housing developments that once occupied large swaths of the city. He didn't grow up with healthy food options in his neighborhood, and witnessed his family and community suffer from diseases caused by unhealthy eating habits.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>After the death of his father, caused by a stroke and high blood pressure, James decided to not let his family's legacy be plagued by the consequences of poor eating behaviors. James also inspired his mother to become more aware of what she consumed. She took an interest in juicing. Like many of her Cajun and Creole delicacies, her juices were rich in flavor. It was as if she knew exactly what fruit and vegetable combinations to trigger mouthwatering sensations.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>In July 2020, James met Danté who would become a prominent figure in encouraging James to turn his noble idea into a world changing mission.&nbsp; Dante's passion for helping others led him to an extensive career with the YMCA. An organization known for their philanthropy,&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Danté served 10 years growing from a teen volunteer in Virginia to becoming the Director of Staff Development for all of Houston. With the organization, he was able to enhance the lives of youth and families from underserved communities across the US. Together, James and Danté wanted to ensure that everyone could benefit from healthier options. They wanted to include forgotten communities in their mission.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>So, it became for every bottle sold, an opportunity was given to level the playing field for so many left behind.</div>

Got the libido

This drink is DELICIOUS. I drink a lot of smoothies, and make my own, so it's good to have a tasty, non-generic treat. This is my first stop in Houston...wanted to put something healthy into my body fresh off the plane
