I had the pleasure of going to the only black-owned restaurant called “The Woods” in Jupiter, Florida, owned by Tiger Woods. I searched the Eat Okra App, while in Jupiter, FL and the only restaurant that showed up was “The Woods”. Okay, let's go. We were excited to go there. The area is fairly new in the new Jupiter Florida Riverwalk area. Upon arriving at the restaurant we were the only black patrons in the restaurant. That’s fine. We are used to this. We decided to sit at the bar. It's a sports bar mixed with fine dining experience. As a sports fan, the TVs are immaculate. The TVs are all around the bar. Regardless of where you are sitting at the bar, you see TVs. The TVs are perfectly placed front to back. The staff is very young. Picture young women in cheerleader outfits. The men are sort of dressed like Tiger Woods in his championship days in black slacks and red polo shirts. Honestly, there seemed to be too much staff. It's like a high school or college reunion with a lot of the staff socializing with each other and not necessarily working. Anyway, we ordered our drinks and received them then the friendly bartender disappeared for a while to the other side of the bar. Meanwhile, a new couple came and sat to the left of us and was served by a different female bartender. The new bartender took the couple's drink order and then shortly later took their food order. We ended up looking at each other because our food order still wasn't taken yet. We then decided to eat somewhere else. Our bartender eventually came back to us and we told her we’ll have the check to pay for our drinks. We never got a chance to try the food at, “The Woods”. I’m giving it three stars because we never actually tried the food. The bar was sort of designed for younger women bartenders to cater to older male patrons. The bartenders intentionally spent more time with those patrons. This is just an opinion.
