<div>Our History</div><div>The Soul Food Bistro was opened by The Potter’s House Christian Fellowship of Jacksonville, FL in 1998. The original name was The Potter’s House Cafe where the menu, size, and scale of the facility was significantly different. The original space was only around 600 sq.ft., but the place was packed and the word traveled fast about the extraordinary food. In 2007, the tiny Cafe expanded and modernized into what is known today as The Potter’s House Soul Food Bistro, a 5,800 sq.ft. facility located in the newly renovated Kingdom Plaza (formerly the Normandy Mall).<br><br></div>

It’s not always a slam dunk, but when Soul Food Bistro gets it right? Whew. It hits like a Sunday after church. The mac n’ cheese is creamy and rich, the oxtails fall-off-the-bone tender, and those sweet yams? Like dessert before dessert. Yeah, we’ve had a few off days, but the wins outweigh the misses and that’s why we keep coming back. Comfort food with soul, plain and simple.
I can honestly say that the food at soul food bistro is good it's always hot service for the most part is good the only issue is you end up waiting in line for more than an hour simply due to the fact they're not enough people behind the line working you're stuck there waiting hoping to finally get your food I can't imagine that the long wait are not hurting the business
I have visited many times. Best food in Jax. My faves: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, MAC N CHEESE, all greens, cornbread, pound cake...just mouth-watering!
