Founded by a Black man, Jean Baptiste Point duSable, around 1770. Chicago has served as home to many African Americans who left the south during The Great Migration, seeking a better life for their families. It was a Black owned business that encouraged African Americans to come to the Windy City: The Chicago Defender. Since then, Black owned businesses have been a source of pride in our communities.
Black Owned Chicago was created to be a resource for citizens of Chicago and tourists who crave the African American experience. We are also a network for seasoned and budding Black owned businesses in the city.

Food was very good. They were short staff so service was a bit slow. But the style and decor was super dope. I’ll definitely be back
