All the food was delicious. I got the fish dinner with Mac and cheese and cabbage. It was so on point! My friend got the Aunt Bertha’s chicken and he tore it up for real! To drink I got the reggae it was very strong but just what you need depending on your day. The only issue was that they forgot our wing appetizer however the wings were delicious. The only negative I would say is that the service was a little slow but the quality of food definitely was on point.
Food and service was amazing. Everything tasted amazing! I prefer this location over the camp creek location though. Camp creek needs some work with the food and the service!
I went to the Peter's location and took my mentee. Parking is not great. You either have to park down the street (and walk in the neighborhood which I didn't feel great about) or pay for Parking in the back. The location is not "pretty". It's a hole in the wall type place and I didn't like walking on gravel and grass from the Parking in the back and messing up my shoes. The food was ok. It's tasty...maybe it wasn't hot enough?? Not sure what is was...but I just wasn't "wowed". I had fried chicken, collards and another veggie. Again...taste was ok...but maybe it was the presentation of the whole thing....I just felt like I was at the Motel 6 Banquet room and went round to the buffet with my papaer plate and plastic cutlery....just messed up the experience for me. (They didn't have plastic plates there...just an analogy)
The staff was really nice, attentive and inviting. They told us Kandi and Todd were on the way so that was exciting! We didn't stay for them but yeah there was a separate party situation going on outside of the restaurant...Guess another feature of the restaurant maybe? Not sure. But the young folk running that were saying come dance with us! Come have fun! Now that was nice to see. I think if they fixed up the place it would be a bit nicer and maybe plate the food on nicer plates it would be a better "experience". Ah! That's it...the "experience" wasn't the best there. Anyway try it out because the staff is really nice!
