Huger says the family owned & operated restaurant has “been feeding the soul of the city” for more than 40 years because what the restaurant lacks in ambience, they more than make up for in taste. Sani Huger, LJ’s daughter, is now General Manager for the family owned business.</div>

Great food and service,and I will be back in the near future.
Very delicious food and the service was great! I thought that my late mom was back in the kitchen! The food was fantastic and the servings are great! We will be back!
Visited around lunchtime and they only had one waitress so service was a lil slow. The food was promising in appearance but wasn’t as flavorful as we hoped for. It tastes like soul food where someone held back in the seasonings to appeal to a blander crowd.
I had the whiting meal with greens and Mac and cheese. With a bread pudding. Allll so delicious. Thank you for amazing food.
