I ordered food delivery and requested the Doro Wot and Awaze Tibs. I was so disappointed with the Doro wot. There was one small chicken drumstick and a boiled egg with a ladle full of stew sauce resting in a piece of injera. oh and one other large piece of injera. For the price, I was flabbergasted. I felt insulted. The Awaze tibs was a cool portion and taste but not enough to make up for what was lacking with the Doro Wat. I felt like maybe my delivery driver ate half of my doro wat order - I don't know (I'm being sarcastic). So disappointed. I really only came for the Doro wot. Glad I did order the Awaze tibs or I would of been starving with the sampler of doro wot they bagged up.
I wouldn’t recommend Addis for a quick stop because the food takes a bit of time to prepare, but it is well worth the wait! The restaurant is absolutely beautifully decorated, and the staff is helpful and friendly. They will happily give recommendations to first timers and are quick to accommodate preferences or needs (spice level, dietary restrictions, etc.) Please stop here and enjoy!!
